I just wonder what they mean when they talk about a fair share. Maybe they are talking about a flat tax with no deductions.

Most of those who say the wealthy should pay their "fair share" of taxes are not able to even define what they mean by it. It just sounds good to them. When pressed, most people have said 30% would be fair - not even realizing that these people are already paying more than that.

Why not 50%? 50% sounds "Fair". I mean they make millions! Why can't they just pay all of my taxes? While we are at it, I'll just sit on my fat butt and collect a check.

A fair share wouldn't be a percentage of your wealth, it would be a percentage of need. Divide the budget by 300million and everyone pays the same amount. That would be truly fair.

I would say your not much of a friend if you let something like politics get in your way.

If he was just a facebook buddy that you didnt really know, you should be more carefull who you friend.
