Very nice! Good common sense approach by that school district. Wonder how many other states there are like Ohio where the districts have the option to allow teachers to carry.

What says ignerntbend on this matter?
I'm ok with it. Won't hurt, won't help. Err on the side of freedom.
If my willowy little niece has to pull out her .32 acp in the classroom,I hope things work out the right way.
Really, very few teachers can double as cops or soldiers.

No one is asking them to, they are simply giving them the freedom to protect themselves & their students with deadly force if the situation arises in which they need to.

This is the big misconception. I don't want my wife to be able to carry to act like a cop or soldier. I just want her to be able to protect herself inside and outside of the school. Do you knon how many times teachers go up to a dimly lit school at night to do extra work, PTA meetings and such?
