But, I gotta tell ya, in and around the Tulsa metro area, we're working hard to become #1.
The Ukraine, Mexico, Syria, etc. I've been to some of those countries. All you need to drive there is a horn. And the lines on the road? That's just to point them in the right direction.Only because there are so many 'foreigners' in Tulsa from weird Yankee places like Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Indiana, etc.
USAA told us this when we asked why insurance was so much higher here than NC. Nothing's changed either.Several years ago there was an article in the OKC paper that some insurance industry group said Oklahoma was the state with the highest percentage of uninsured drivers on the road.
I don't know but I've always figured there's a high correlation between drivers being uninsured and being stupid/careless.
I can vouch for that. I've been to Russia 4 times, Romania once, Germany once, Oman once, Austria once - all for work and spent quite a bit of time traveling in cars in each country. Been to Mexico twice and spent a small amount of time traveling in 'limos' (enough to see what maniacal drivers they are). Of all the places I've been I'd say Russia was the worse for driving my 'pucker factor' to it's limit followed closely by Romania (they drive just as nutty but at least they use their turn signals sometimes...).The Ukraine, Mexico, Syria, etc. I've been to some of those countries. I concur. On the Turner Turnpike they merely run you off the road. In Moscow, they'll flat out kill you.I can vouch for that.
