Oklahoma Income Tax Withholding

My employer nails the state on the money, to the dollar. I either get a $1 refund or its $0 owed or refunded. Unless I claim the use tax, then I might have to pay up $20 or so.

I hate 'use tax'...that's something I'd expect CA or NY to have, but not OK. It's ridiculous that if I buy something out of state, I have to pay a tax to OK just because i use it here.

Tell your boss or human relations or whomever is in charge of payroll and they will give you a form to sign. Some companies you can even do it online.

This. My employer has me do it on a W4, but write STATE ONLY across the top so they have documentation for their payroll records (our federal W4 is actually online). This is kinda ghetto, but that is what is to be done when there is no formal separate form for the state withholding requests.
