Oklahoma Senate fails to override gun bill veto
An effort to override the governor's veto of a bill that would exempt Oklahoma-made firearms and ammunition from federal regulations has failed.
The Republican-controlled Senate voted 28-16 on Wednesday with 36 votes needed to override Democratic Gov. Brad Henry's veto of the "Oklahoma Firearms Freedom Act." There was no debate.
Brogdon is running for the GOP gubernatorial nomination.
The bill says firearms, gun accessories or ammunition made in Oklahoma would not be subject to interstate commerce laws and federal regulations if they remain in the state.
Henry warned the bill would give criminals easy access to a wide array of weapons.
Negative, he hasn't done anything with it yet. I think he will sign it.

This would make us the 25th state with open carry. I think it's a step in the right direction for us. When so many freedoms are being taken away it's nice to see that something might go in our favor. Can't wait to see what happens.

I just called the Governors office, They said he is reviewing it now, and he has 5 days to make a descision.
