Of course most administrators are going to say no to anything that could cause them to have to deal complaining parents. (And yes their are those that will complain to the principal about anything). The fact that the principal wouldn't send an email was the first sign of a principal smart enough to not have his endorsement in writing.

The thought of this even being an issue in the part of the world doesn't really surprise me but does really disturb me. I fear teaching our children to succumb to political correctness will do them great harm in the future.

Well it is her right to fire those government-approved guns. She doesn't need to be "in your face" about it, though. Sure, she can exercise her rights, but not everyone wants to see that. It's inflammatory issues like this that make us all look bad.

Just kidding. Screw the school officials...respecting authority not my strong suit. Not strong suit of the Founders and Patriots that won our freedom over 200 years ago, either.

Did you all know there are high schools in Oklahoma with skeet/trap teams? The are actually allowed to store firearms and ammo on school property.

Yep, I've been a Range Safety Officer at them, and none of them are shooting each other with shotguns.

Cheerleading outfits often times don't pass school dress codes based upon what is mandated in the student handbooks.
