She's a senior, I take that to mean she's old enough to know actions have consequences. Let her decide. If she wants to be a pro-rights protestors, fine. If she doesn't want to serve as a lighting rod and possibly ruin her chances at getting into the college of her choice, also fine.

This reminds me of the pro/con open carry debates.

Well it is her right to fire those government-approved guns. She doesn't need to be "in your face" about it, though. Sure, she can exercise her rights, but not everyone wants to see that. It's inflammatory issues like this that make us all look bad.

Just kidding. Screw the school officials...respecting authority not my strong suit. Not strong suit of the Founders and Patriots that won our freedom over 200 years ago, either.

you had me wondering there for a minute.

My daughter is a senior this year at Broken Arrow public schools. ....... My daughter responds with a comment about would they rather her bring in the poster with a picture of her in a bikini at the lake -vs- the 'gun' picture . . . the say 'yes'.
Any thoughts?

which she then should have exhaled a baited breath sighed a sigh of relief , and exclaimed "oh good i was a afraid you were'nt hypocritical"

ours we yanked out of union and moved to the country before high school, best thing we did as parents. ZT doesn't apply to administrators.

Congratulations on raising a daughter willing to stand in front of her school authorities and after being told no, offered them the bikini option. Good for her bringing light to exactly how fickle the administration is on supporting their doctrines.

Get off my lawn.
When I was in 6th grade art, I drew/painted an M11/9. I wasn't sent to the principal's office, no cops were called, no school board meetings held. Public school disgusts me more and more every day.

Ironically, a guy who used to work for me teaches history for a private school. Part of his curriculum; the guns of John Browning.
