Our current situation up here at the lake. No power. Hide storms blew through here about 1:45am. 80mph winds, heavy rain and hail. We have been cuttin up tree limbs all morning. Had to cut a tree off my moms deck so she could get out of her place. Got her generator running as well.
Called the electric company and the message says they estimate getting to our area around 1am tomorrow morning. UGH!

Good afternoon all,

We had a great time last night. I actually took my wife out to one of our Country Dance clubs last night for dancing. We had a blast and about a dozen of our team showed up when they heard we were there. We had lots of fun dancing and drinking. We haven’t done that in a really long time.

Been teaching seminars all day today. We have a couple hour break then back up to the studio for dance party.

We are under a heat advisory today. Real feel temps today are suppose to be 107 degrees. It feels like it outside. It‘s like summer came out of nowhere and said, “I’m here”. :LOL:

Sounds like we are in trouble. dancer4life talking about 107 degrees, and here in Rhode Island we haven't been much hotter than maybe 85 degrees. If the weather holds, we could soon be done here and head back to Oklahoma and wait a bit to then start working north Texas. 2 days of good weather should see us finish the regular database of roads to work, and we got the initial list of roads to "re-do," which amounts to only about 36 records. 3 or 4 days could get that all done, but we'd have to still wait a few days for the company to quality check our latest work. Once all that is done, homeward bound.

Rain stopped us today, but tomorrow looks promising.

Yes, he is living in my fish tank right now. Found him stuck in the sliding door at Walgreens yesterday. Nothing but concrete for 10 miles all around so no one knows where he came from. He bit the **** outta me when I picked him up do he HAD to come home with me.

He wouldn't eat yesterday so I was a bit worried. When a baby bird won't "gape" for you it's not a good sign but this morning (and ever since) he has been a little piglet. And NOISY ... OMG .... The cats are MESZMERIZED ... LOL
