I discovered with one of the power outages in May that Mr Coffee pulls the generator down pretty bad, so I’ve now started making percolator coffee on the gas grill. This was my Great Grandmother’s pot. 
I don't know why, but Fall colors and dead trees just draw my attention. Somewhere on a trip up to South Dakota and Wyoming.
Took less than an hour once we got to it yesterday afternoon. Fuel pump was bad, changed it and back on the road. My 17yo did most of it, he fits under a truck better than my old fat butt does! Flatbed made it doable without dropping tank/pulling bed, always nice.

Yep. We discovered too the resistant type heating of Mr Coffee was too draining on our small solar system. Picked up a Mr Coffee type unit that sits on a camp stove burner. Works great.
Generator’s been running for 40 hours now, and the power company still isn’t even giving an estimated restoration time. 
My paternal grandmother was the last one that made percolator coffee every day, and I forgot how much I enjoy it.

Off to the lake house late tonight to get ready for our 7th annual company party. We have 40 staff and students coming for three days of eating, drinking, dancing and lots of water sports.

Some stream running through the Martin Nature Center off of Memorial Road in Oklahoma City. They have some nice hiking in that area as well as occasional wildlife to be seen.
After exactly 48 hours on the generator, we have power again!
