My buddy and I looked at each other and about died laughing. She may have been right but I bet he didn't bring her to that store.

I've heard some doozies in the past few years. One was the guy talking about his German 7mm mauser used by the Germans in WW2. I also observed a counter guy at medlocks sell an 80yr old grandma .32ACP ammo for a .32H&R mag S&W revolver. Don't think that is gonna work, buddy!

Was doing my local shop and stalk at Academy for any clearance ammo or things that caught my eye. Who am I kidding, I go solely in the hopes of hearing stupid **** at the gun counter. As usual, no lack of fuddery going on at the sample counter. My favorite was this exchange:

OD: Old dude, who was happy to inform you of his vast collection of .22 revolvers.

GCG: Gun counter guy

OD: Points at Mossberg Shockwave. "Boy, those sure are interesting." gestures towards price, "Just not that interesting"

GCG: Chortles, nods sadly because he really doesn't care. "Yep."

OD: "I mean, if I really wanted a shorter shotgun I'd just cut the stock down. Maybe the barrel but then you gotta get the hacksaw and that can be real difficult."

MFW some old fudd casually mentions violating federal law.
