Damn, 18 miles hell no. I just remember thinking his gear weighed more than he did. He was loaded for bear. Obviously nobody to mess with.

Just get a quality mount. QD if you want that ability or something 'fixed' if you don't.
I have a Larue QD and an ADM (American Defense) QD mount that I like and have great return to zero capabilities if you take them off.
Even with an extra pound, I'll still be about 17# less than the FAL guy carrying 40#!
Here is my edited run. I forgot to turn the camera back on for the shotty stage after my ammo explosion. I also forgot to turn it on for the first attempt on the VTAC stage "you sure this is stage 3?" when I shot the bolt out with my first shot...really wish that hadn't happened...the restart was teh suck.
I'd like to thank every RO who handed me ammo I said I did not need. I think I finished with 3 rounds left.
