I just picked up a pretty nice stainless ruger 10/22 international from my favorite pawn shop/gun store. It came with a nice set of see through scope mounts and so far unidentified Bushnell scope. To me, the scope looks a little funky with the mannlicher stock, so I think an adjustable rear peep sight and maybe a hooded front sight would look pretty good. I'm looking for suggestions. Has anyone here peeped their 10/22 and liked it?

I put some williams firesights on one 10/22 and they sucked.

The rear peep kept coming loose no matter how much I tightened it and there are no graduations or markings for making adjustments.

The tech sights look like a better option but I've yet to drop the $$ on them.

Tech Sights are the way to go. Both my 10/22s have them - I've used them a bunch, as well as loaning them to students at Appleseeds.

Yep, Tech Sights are the gold standard for .22 peep sights. They are very well built, and have nice repeatable 1 MOA clicks on an 18" barreled 10/22. The front is not hooded, but it has ears (like an M1/M14/M16). They look pretty good on a full stocked Ruger if you ask me.
