This one is for liability if they do something wrong like not put oil in, or install your drain plug. They want to be able to identify vehicle and time of service.

Walmart once forgot to replace the oil plug in my wifes car, now tell me how they forgot that and still read the dip stick?
They bought us a new motor over that! and they all know us by name!!!

I am pissed at Walmart too. They cant seem to figure out that they need to have multiple shipments of federal bulk 100 pack of .223 coming in weekly.

Why also does Walmart want your vehicle VIN number, tag number, name and phone number if they change your oil?

Why does Sam's club scan and input all the information from your driver license when you apply for membership?

For Walmart: to keep an accurate record of all vehicles serviced
For Sam's Club:so they know where you live in case they need to find you...
