If you actually look at the data in the study that showed a *correlation* between marijuana and heart disease, the rate of heart disease among patients (2%) was over 80% lower than what the CDC reports for the general population (11.6%). The mortality rate (25%) was also significantly lower than the general population (72%).

After reading the sheet of paper that comes with your FDA-approved meds, you probably won't want to take the risk of ingesting pharmaceuticals.

People are free to make dumb choices. They're free to live or die with their choices.

Will I go to jail for growing, selling, or transporting poison ivy, oleander, honeysuckle, tobacco, or many other potentially harmful plants? What is so different about marijuana? Revenue generation?

the only folks I'm aware of that's got their lives destroyed by pot .. resulted from getting arrested for pot. NOT from consuming pot ... freaking unbelievable that folks actually believe the lies about pot.

And yet many who support legalizing pot are very anti-tobacco. I do think pot should be legalized for medical use in some cases, and then real 20 year studies should be done on the long term effects before legalizing for recreational use. Get real results from a larger data pool before making a mistake that can ruin thousands of lives.

pot has been used safely for hundreds of years ... NO one has died from pot. zero .. nada .. NO one has overdosed from pot from several hundred years of use. vs tobacco .... let's see .. the leading cause of cancer in America .. responsible for how many deaths?

the only lives that's been ruin from pot are the folks that got arrested for pot, their assets seized and thrown in prison. not aware of ANYONE that got their lives destroyed from using pot.

it's obvious the big lie told about pot being equally bad as heroin has worked on you. what's sad is how many other folks also believe the lies about pot.

That could not possibly be because people who smoked tobacco also smoked marijuana. Show me a reputable link to prove nobody has died from marijuana. Any link anyone provides to you that says someone died will be called fake. If you do not believe people have had their lives ruined by just using pot you have you are delusional. Marijuana is not some magical pixie dust with zero side effects that cures everything from eating disorders to ovarian cancer.
