haven't read the full text, can't seem to find it. but from post on Connie Johnston's Facebook, and a few articles, that seems to be what its going for. 7$ tax per ounce, up to an ounce for recreation and 3 ounces for medical.

Oklahomans for Health director Chip Paul said his volunteers were run off by police three days last week

And it's impacting the 90 days they have to collect just under 160,000 signatures in an effort to get medical marijuana on the November ballot.

“Police were nice and respectful when they rolled up, but their whole goal seems to be shutting us down, telling us to move. If we push back, it escalates,” said Paul.

FOX23(space)got a statement from the city explaining citizens complained about the group flying these marijuana flags and allegedly having signs saying the drug was sold at these locations.

FOX23 found officers never filed a report for either call they responded to on Wednesday or Thursday, and they never found any drugs.

have not read the entire document .. but it sure looks promising!!!

much wider appeal .. medical pot only vs legalize pot for everyone .. think about it .. on a topic that's overwhelmingly viewed positively by a super majority of Oklahomans.

which do you think would generate more interest .. medical Pot that only effects a tiny number of people in Okla. vs legalizing pot would effect a butt load of folks???

don't get me wrong .. not saying in the least medical pot folks are not as important as general public. just that full legalization will effect way more folks and will bring out way more folks accordingly to fight for this cause.

Any predictions? Will the petition be approved and if so how will the vote turnout? Anybody:anyone:

Really? REALLY?

This is Oklahoma. It took forever to get liquor by the drink. We were a dry state for decades after prohibition ended. It took years to get parimutual betting and the lottery here.

And you ask if the petition will be approved!

Yeah when pigs fly, hell freezes over and lurker66 registers republican.

I've only skimmed it. I might get a chance to read it tomorrow. Not sure when I'll be able to actually check it.
I read most of it. It pretty much opens it up to legalization to buy up to an ounce, grow up to 6 plant - only 4 mature at a time, use for medical and grow for commercial hemp. And be regulated and taxed similar to alcohol.

hey .. it could happen!!!!

there's a lot o momentum out there .. our public schools need more funding. millions $$$ generated in Colorado in short order with NO increase in crime are not lost on our legislators. with pot legal in other states .. it's blatantly obvious our pot sentencing laws are broken.

It was actually a double question, first a judge has to approve the petition, then if enough signatures are gathered the people get to vote on it bypassing the legislature.
