I am beginning to think these cops are so upset about this petition because if it gets on the ballot and passes it will cut into the shakedown money they steal while out "patrolling".

They can still do shakedowns enforcing federal law. That whole forfeiture sharing scheme is quite the incentive. They'll spend more time on bigger shakedowns instead of nickel-and-diming the citizenry.

Better have your First Amemdment Permits in order if you're gonna be doing any public assembly, petitioning for redress, or free speech, don't ya know.

This kind of BS really pisses me off. Frickin modern day redcoats.

At last check, no other publicly traded entities had a disclosure of Brown-Forman's nature -- but that's not to say others are at risk. Along with other beverage firms, pharmaceutical companies are being widely discussed as potential victims of increased marijuana use...

Council Chairwoman Karen Gilbert told Tay that an alleged misbehavior by the police would have to be investigated by the Police Department's internal investigation unit - not by the City Council.

Don't worry, the TPD will investigate themselves.:police2:

Put my signature on the petition the other day. I don't partake and I don't really plan to, but the less government control on individuals the better.
