1) lube the inside of the neck
2) measure the expander ball - polish it down if needed
3) don't overtighten the die - you are pushing shoulder into the neck
4) tighten the CRAP out of the nut that holds the decaping rod - there is a notch in the die for a wrench for a reason.

I think the 1/4 turn extra is too much. Tonight I will play with it and see if I get it figured out. Guess I shouldn't have taken the provided instructions so literal. Probably look at getting some better dies once I get a good handle on the processes.

With the ram raised, I run the die down to touch the shell holder and then raise back up one full turn. Loaded hundreds and hundreds like that on RCBS and Redding dies with no problems over the years, when using FL dies. I neck size only almost everything now.

Well after messing with this some more last night I've come to two conclusions:
1. Lee resizing lube really does suck.
2. The Lee dies I have really do suck.

I wish someplace local (not Dongs-never going there again if I can get away with it) had better dies.
