It's blooming here already, you can make salves and tinctures from it and it's also edible.
There is another early spring plant that is similar and often grows near it called henbit that is also edible. Some people confuse it with creeping Charlie.

I have eaten Henbit.
I filled about 12 walmart sacks full this year from my front yard.
It went in the trash can though. Trying to get some hardy grass in the front yard this year.

If your needing more fiber in your diet okiejoe has plenty of Johnson grass.
We have plenty henbit but not aware of any nettle.
