Many folks are buying the fancy $700 upgrade for their spouts on their feed boxes these days. The foreman and I didn’t wanna be outdone but we ain’t asking the ranch to blow no $1400. So we rummaged through our salvage yard and came up with a solution. Ours runs faster and the most cost we incurred was the new switch.

Well this is pretty random and I built it so I guess it can be posted here. The handle on my Dillon 650 broken a while ago and I drilled it out and inserted a bolt as a temporary fix. It worked but was uncomfortable during those longer reloading sessions. I had a piece of scrap walnut/pecan from another project so I made a larger in diameter and longer handle. Don’t have a lathe so made it with hand tools.

Nice. :thumb:

A drill in a vise makes a pretty good po' boy lathe for small stuff.

That is exactly right but I did not have anything that would cut without tearing wood out. So I trimmed it on a bandsaw then used a hand plane to round it out then put it back in the drill press for sanding.
