I got to get out and do some blacksmithing this morning, my little girl wanted a split cross. I made one for her and the neighbor.
Built me a holster for my 1911. Since it’s IWB I gave my wife free rein to decide on finish color. Oh boy I dunno.

Cut and edged 30 pairs of bridle reins the other day. We finally purchased a strap cutting machine. Boy lemme tell ya how nice it is! It’s only good for straight straps. It’s came with 12 “pizza cutter” wheels and numerous spacers for setting different widths. More cutters can be purchased at $13 each. It came with more than plenty spacers for any setup. It cuts a 14” swath. Then you just feed the hide through again. Digital servo motor and pedal type control. In picture below it’s cutting 6 straps at 3/4” and 5 straps at 5/8” per pass.
My wife’s been fancying up several more shoes. Been sellin like hotcakes which is good cuz we bought a new sewing machine that is designed for that job. It’s a singer 29k patch machine clone. It won’t sew as heavy as our other machine but it can do things the bigun can’t. It has a rotating foot and can sew in any direction without needing to rotate the workpiece.
She had a pile of what I call designer leathers on a shelf and it made it hard to see what was what with it all piled so we bought some NEW 4” sewer pvc and did some organizing.

This is the latest slab table I finished, it's a nearly 100 year old red elm slab.
Really cool! The bow ties look well done. Hand fitted or router?
