@TerryMiller often reminds us of his days delivering propane. He maybe able to tell us exactly what you have.
Thank you TerrySorry, but I can't be exact, but I don't think that one adapter is for the smaller 1 pound cylinders. That said, the last time I saw those being filled was when I was a kid and I watched my dad refill them from a 20 pound cylinder.
Edit: I saw this posting after I answered the above.
Refilling 1lb Propane Cylinders
I ‘think’ this came from harbor freight. Is this a refill adapter?www.okshooters.com
If you look at the adapter at the link, the end fitting going on the 1 pound cylinder is female, while the one that was listed before has a male end.
A lot of the bigger tanks have a liquid line to fill smaller bottles. I believe you have to ask for it when you order your tank.My brother had 47 acres, with propane 1,000 gallon tank for his house. He’d refill the 5 gallon 20 pound BBQ tanks from his big tank, saved good money that way.
I don’t appreciate at tattletale. You’re nicer than me, and I’ll leave it at that.I too have a tank with what you guys are calling a “wet line”, I believe the LP guys call it a “Nursing Tank”. I of course don’t use mine because as my propane guy explained. In an annual industry meeting he had, he learned as of 2021 the NFPA (National Fire Protection Act) has determined the general public isn’t smart enough to refill their own tanks and as such, if he ever sees a hose connected to the nursing fitting legally he’s required to report it to the proper agencies. While it was a blessing being able to use it for a while, I could refill my 20lb bottles for around $12.00, but because of this new policy (again wink wink nod nod) there’s no way I’d knowingly break the law.
