Thanks... So far I've learned the GSG 1911 22 has 3 major components when detail stripped: the frame, the slide, and the bag of parts.

Okay; update time. On attempt #2; I think I did a pretty good job. I have been taking pics as I go and will post here shortly. Reassembly is going to be a challenge...for me with my fat-fingered mitts anyway. The GSG 1911-22 has two little pieces that go in the ignition system like series 80 1911's have, and they are going to be difficult for me to try to slip back in the frame and get lined up. I'm gonna let it sit a couple days before I go messing with it anymore to let the paint cure then tackle the reassembly in hopes I don't bugger up the new finish too much.
