The fact that Pak-a-Sak is no longer around kinda brings a tear to the eye. I truly loved that place. It started in 1957 and passed through 3 generations before the family sold the business. It died on the vine under the new owner. Yep, really miss that place.

Although I didn't eat there as a kid, same feelings for the closing of the Tijuana.

O.K., Enough talking ! I am challenging everyone on here to a B.B. gun fight or a serious game of freeze tag !!
I miss those days and wish my grandkids could grow up like that.

One thing no one else has mentioned is the times when a handshake was a legal and binding contract, Not because you could hire a lawyer to sue but because that was your word !!!!

It's ON! After that, we'll do some "Tackle the man with the football" and see who can ride the longest wheelie too. :)

We spent a ton of time with our cousins, most of them being girls, so we improvised some games. One we played a lot was Steal the Wagon though I can't remember the rules. Kids (including us) were just easier to entertain back then.

Nowadays take a kid away from wifi and watch his brain implode.

WRONG!!!!

Those rolls of caps weren't endless....

.....And, we even took our guns and holsters to school to play with during recess.

Where else could you have a guy with an MP-40, a Colt SAA, an M-16, and a flintlock musket saving the world from Communists and Germans and Japanese?

It was lots of fun.
