Here's the Remington copy pile. Cap and ball on the right, Kirst and R&D cylinder guns on the right.

Colt clones converted to 38 Long Colt. The brass frame was an experiment. Lesson? Only load BP rounds. Gotta machine another cylinder.

I can't see the pics as they are blocked at work but you are speaking my language! I've been doing some studying on the cartridge conversion era of the late 1860s. Very interesting times for the major manufacturers of the period! I bought my first BP gun at age 9, a CVA derringer kit, and then got a replica Colt sheriff's model ('51 Navy short barrel in .44) when I was 12. At the moment I have a '51 Navy conversion due in anytime. The Uberti line sure looks pretty! I'll check your pics when I get home tonite.
