Yours must be a pre-1992 model. Since then the bore is sized for a .311/.312 bullet.

I have a Mini 30 in a Hogue stock and a Mini 6.8 SPC in a Butler Creek folding stock. I have never shot either one past 50 yards but I can keep the hits in a 6" circle at 50 yards.
