At one time, our government wouldn't tolerate activity such as this in our hemisphere according tot he NMonroe Dotrine. But now we allow our adversaries to set up military bases in Venezuela. JFK wouldn't stand for this activity but Biden doesn't know or care what is going on.

Oh, look! A Russian nuclear-powered sub made it all the way from Murmansk to Cuba without sinking. A Ukrainian drone will probably sink it on the way home.
I wonder how many US nuke boats are sitting off the coast of Russia that they DON'T know about. Have you noticed it's a big deal when a Russian boat makes a port call? Like it's some big achievement. Meanwhile, 9 of 11 US carrier battle groups are deployed around the world.

But the hypocrisy is rich here; we shouldn't tolerate that in our hemisphere, but Russia is supposed to be good with us lining their border with missiles, etc., and bringing more and more countries into NATO. I don't get it.
About that logic thing….
I think the logic (poorly thought out) was to protect us from the nuclear fallout.I can remember the drills at school and being told to get under our desks.....I guess desks were made a lot better back then.
