The Iraq War (and all it's predecessor variants) were launched with bi-partisan, and strong bi-partisan, support. As far as I can tell Americans of both parties and our various European allies too, use oil.

Now, if the current Democrat administration were so convinced of the need to strategically de-link from oil - vice being ideologically motivated to embrace "Green" - we would be pushing domestic production heavily. That would make sense, not frustrating domestic energy production that is significant (fossil fuel), while pushing relatively insignificant Green projects.

All I was saying is that Ryan doesnt know why we go to war.

I honestly thought both were full of crap. The lady moderator sucked bigtime and was obviously an Obama family close friend(read the news stories about the Obama's at her wedding).
