I have 3 S&W 15-22s and 3 Ruger 10/22s. I love my S&W 15-22s. I hardly shoot the Rugers any more. Not saying they are better than a Ruger, I just like them more b/c they are AR style.

Have you considered a Ruger SR-22 Rifle? I have owned a 15-22 (good rifle) and own 10/22s (also good rifles) but the SR-22rifle is the most "anatomically correct" AR surrogate .22 LR caliber rifle I have used, in terms of weight and feel. The magazine is, however, standard Ruger 10/22 but at least that means cheap and readily available. If you want something close to a std AR try one out.

I have a SR-22 on my list for this year if I can find a used one. I picked up a used SIG 522 shortly after picking up the 15-22 so I will have one for each of the kids eventually and maybe they will leave my carbon fiber 10-22 alone. I have already installed a Hogue grip on the S&W and I'm looking for a Magpul stock to replace the OEM one. Just need the weather to warm up a little bit so I can run out to TCGC and see how each performs with the bulk ammo that I have ava.
