Santa Clause for kids Rant

+1 for teaching the kids about the real Santa, if they start to question about Santa. As a Christian, it goes even further than the history lesson for me. It's an opportunity to teach my children that the same God who dwells in the heart of Saint Nicholas, dwells in the heart of all believers, and that the generosity and hope he represents is available to everyone.

Something else you might do with a child who is questioning Santa Claus, if they have younger siblings, cousins, etc. . . Initiate them into the fraternity of the Keepers of the Secrets of Saint Nicholas. Let them now take part in the rituals that create the magic. Explain to them the deep responsibility they now have with their new insights and knowledge.

it's like they are out to hurt the adults by using the children with absolutely no regard for the kid.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Never been in that situation, so I don't have any advice, but hang in there for the kids sake.
