As noted by tRidiot, the largest effect is clarifying that both OKC and Tulsa State Fairs are prohibited by law for firearms carry. It was a point of confusion that led to an extended thread here every September. Now, there is no further need for discussion.
What about this? Does this mean little league ball is now prohibited? Or does this just apply to school athletics. Specifically Buck Thomas, Hafer Park etc? I would understand Moore HS football games, Central JHS etc, being on school property, but Buck Thomas isn't posted, ran by MYBA who leases it from the city Parks and Rec dept, and in my mind, would fall under parks regardless as the surrounding property is a city park.
2. Any public property sports field, including any adjacent seating or adjacent area set aside for viewing a sporting event, where an elementary or secondary school, collegiate, or professional sporting event or an International Olympic Committee or organization or any committee subordinate to the International Olympic Committee event is being held;
@big: that was part of why I made my comment. . .yes, what you see is correct. If your kid plays ball for a school, and the place they play is in a non-school but still public field, you can't carry there. Today you can, 1 November you cannot.
ETA: We also got the theoretical ability to carry at private venues during professional sporting events and at fairs. That's kinda like the theoretical ability we have to carry inside college buildings. . .all it takes is the written consent of the university President.
