SB1733 passed the Senate

Not sure what happened, but just because a bill actually makes it to the agenda, does not mean it will be heard that day, just that it is available to be heard. Tune in tomorrow I guess.

I may not be able to tune in tomorrow. I have a job where I actually work more than 1 1/2 hours each day.

Just talked with Tanya in Sen. Sykes office... she didn't know why the Floor Leader Sen. Shultz didn't bring SB1733 to a vote.. and she hadn't yet talked with Sen. Sykes! Sounds like we need to burn up Shultz's phone lines.

I told her that the gun forums were lighted up like a Christmast tree with mad people... she said she knew.. that they were getting calls already.

The plot thickens.. Just got off the phone with Pam in Sen. Shultz's office... seems Sen. Sykes asked that SB1733 NOT be heard today!!!!!! So we need to be calling Sen. Sykes office.

Pam said just because it appears on the agenda doesn't mean it gets a vote.. told to check again tomorrow.

I called Sykes office and was told that they had no idea why the bill was not heard today. I then called Shultz (the senate floor leader) and talked to Pam, his assistant. She told me that it was up to the bill sponsor, Sykes, to have the bill heard. Someone is feeding us a line of BS.

This really PO's me. These idiots are giving us the run around. I wish that I had a job where I could work for 1.5 hours and leave. These people are the worst of the worst. All they care about are themselves. So which senator should I be calling?
