I think the mandate is a loser all around. I mean, we don't know the ins and outs of it until it goes into effect, but it sure sounds like the way they're "helping" uninsured low & middle income working folks is to force them to buy private insurance and penalize them if they don't. I know some people are jumping up and down in favor of it, but it seems like a Pyrrhic victory for those in support of healthcare reform. If anything it seems like placing an extra burden on those already burdened. How any supposedly liberal person can support that is beyond me.

SCREW THIS!!!! I'm so pissed right now, I can't even see straight. What will they force us to buy next? Smart cars? Health food? A gym membership for overweight people? Smart phones so that 911 can always find our location in an emergency? This is WRONG on so many levels, I just can't even fathom it. I'm done. I want the government OUT of my life, PERIOD! Time to go to Somalia and become a pirate.

While I'm curious what the ruling will be...no matter how it turns out, it will fix nothing. The budget will still be a disaster, people will still be weak and lazy, Obama will still be in office, and the sun will still rise tomorrow.

Both sides will claim victory and the rest of us will have nothing to show for it except for whatever we scratch out for ourselves...

Boy am I feeling cynical today, LOL.

I hate to tell you this, Greg, but that's not cynical ... that's just life.

Now, I am off to adjust my taxes so I NEVER get a tax refund again.

The real winner is the Federal Government and the current administrations desire to take control of every aspect of your life. I predict in 4 years everyone will be on government healthcare, Either your company will drop their healthcare package completely, or make it so bad the governments will be the better option. IT'S SCARY PEOPLE! IF you've ever set at the VA waiting for a doctor, then you have an idea of what it will be like. Hope I'm wrong....

Well, I think it will take them longer than 4 years to get going but I tend to agree with you. Whether we like it or not, government healthcare will be a reality in this country eventually.
