For my initial one I did last year, there was an online portal that gave you info as to where in the process it was. Do they not have that for renewals?
Yes they do. I submitted my application on line and can check the status. What seems to be lacking is any detail. My application states something to the effect that the application was received and is being processed. It has had that status for 2 1/2 months. The website site says wait until 90 days have passed before calling.
My card was charged within 2 seconds of submitting
Received my renewal permit in the mail today. It was exactly 94 days from online submittal to receipt in the mail.

Wow! That is much better than my experience.
Anyone have issues getting connected to their payment gateway? I'm submitting my renewal now and it keeps failing to load their payment site.

I'm waiting and going on two months. Sent a money order in with the application. Seems that a renewal would be easy peasy and not require months. Maybe the assignment is given to Gomer Pyle types.
Little less than 3 weeks for mine in July.
