Well, if we're moving into pet peeves - mine is "literally." If you say "My head LITERALLY exploded," I had better see a gaping hole at the end of your neck.

Have you seen the OG&E Smart Hours commercial where Cassandra brags about her bill being "literally $65 less"? While grammatically proper, I suppose, the redundancy still drives me nuts since she mentions a specific, non-hyperbole amount.

Also, have you seen this? http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/aug/13/literally-broken-english-language-definition

They've changed the definition of literally to include the commonly misused emphasis.

I always attempt to post my for sale ads in the most erudite manner possible.

Though I am sympathetic to the original posters position, and frustration, I just can't bring myself to pounce on anyone over it while children in Africa are starving.

Perhaps when encountering frustration over this particular grammatical error one should begin by singing this to oneself.

A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me lads
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me, baby
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me
