Yes, I've got a shed or two around here I think. Heading to property next weekend and will start looking then too. We make him 'find' his tennis ball by throwing somewhere in the yard then directing him to it with voice/hand commands. He kinda gets it. Rio is only 3 so could definitely be trained for it. The biggest problem with him is his ADHD - he'd be on a shed one second and next thing you know SQUIRREL and he's gone!!

Get a stick of this if your sheds aren't fresh. Put a small amount on one and start with short fetches with it, rewarding your lab whe he picks it up and brings it back. Use the same word everytime in reference to the "bone" or "antler". Work up to hiding it before he sees it and add the other antler (with a small amount of scent) to the game so that he is learning to look and smell for the antlers. Starting in yard is fine, but try to work in a natural type setting also. The more sheds you have the better. (I wouldn't hide more than 5 or 6 at a time)
