I just heard that one of the officers has been an officer for 32yrs and this is his 3rd time being shot.

I foresee a lot of patches like this adorning the officer's locker when he gets back to work.
The critical distinction being that all of them came from close friends, or at least colleagues. Big difference.
Well, I hate to say it, but I've just lost respect for you.
Defcon sounds like a bunch of cops standing around a bad accident scene trying to add a little levity to keep from breaking down and crying.
