Slide Release on Glock 43

It's actually a Slide Lock; the best way to chamber that first round, IM, is to pull and release the slide, letting it go forward and chambering the cartridge. Careful not to ride the slide; let it go home!

Can't wait til I get to tell all the competitive guys they've been doing it wrong all along. Oh, and the well-respected, nationally known defense instructors too.

Yeah, you'll sure surprise them alright. Just keep in mind that a lot of those folks who DO choose to use the SLIDE LOCK as a SLIDE RELEASE usually have some ...experience.
