Yep time consuming. You are making progress though.
I have been playing with Shotgun loads for my 12 gauge.

Slug mold is almost ready to start casting.
And I have loaded 3 test rounds of cupped .490" round ball loads for the 12.
3 round balls in each load.
Cornmeal for buffer and Blue Dot powder.

Next time out to the rang I will test them.
Keep us posted on the loads, we want to know how they do. Which slug mold did you get?

I will.
I made my own slug mold from a Lee 2 cavity 357 mold.

I have used the lee key drive slug mold and tried dozens of different loads to try and make them accurate and nothing worked.
I tried them in a couple different 12 gauge guns also.
I then made my own mold not this Lee 2 cavity 357 one but another and it was a solid bore rider slug.
Much more accurate than the Lee key drive slugs.

Still a little to be desired though so I modified a Lee 357 mold.
Going to load a few today and wait for all the ice to melt and go shoot.

Just FYI, Lee will sell you a mould blank. You can drill, cut , trim to your hearts content.
