Manix 2 for me. I have several. The lock is ambi and much easier to manipulate.

I vote compression lock as less of a failure risk in hard use -- my observations only as it looks like i am soundly out-voted but -- ehhh? oh well

I couldn't immediately recall where I stashed the lock with hasp long enough to reach around the handle....after I put away the knife, THEN I remembered...I hate it when somebody screws up a perfectly good joke of mine, and need to have a talk with that guy.
