It was close enough that I was worried about missing, I've missed a couple of really close ones like that before. Modified in both barrels.

I've never shot anything other that the factory full in the Citori. I make sure they are within 30 yds. I'm more into calling them in closer than killing them.

All that being said, I don't care how you take them. Have fun and get a bird!

Killed another nice tom last week.. Went to a place that has had turkeys in the past, got there right atflydown and heard gobbling way south of me..i trucked it down closer to them and set up 200 yards out in case they were already on the ground.. Set out strutter.. Made one series of calls.. Got them to answer.. This tom and a jake came in on a dead run from 100 yrds and it was game over at 20 steps 10" beard 1-1/4 hooks 20 pounds

Nice bird Porter, two ten inch beards are incredible!

Thanks Okie! Funny thing was, I got him in the truck and went into town to eat breakfast and had no idea he had two beards. We went to take pics and clean him after breakfast and then noticed the double beard. It was a nice surprise.

I got the hunt on my GoPro cam. I'll try to get it edited and posted up for everyone to see.
