The typical speed of a rifle bullet is around 1,700 mph.
There are quite a few military aircraft that are faster - the F15, for example, can get up to about 1,870 mph.
The astronauts in the ISS - and satellites in low earth orbit - are moving at about 17,500 mph - and the rockets that put them there can move considerably faster than that.
Is it moving or does the earth rotate that fast or a combination? I thought it was stationary?FYI
ISS is moving faster than a speeding bullet.....10X the speed of a rifle bullet actually.
