It's brilliant. . .Kansas did it last year. It, in a nutshell, says "look, if you are gonna prohibit law abiding citizens from legally carrying a firearm into public places, you must have some mechanism (metal detector) to keep criminals from illegally carrying firearms there."

Which would mean that you could carry into City Hall unless there was a metal detector in place.

. I think that is one of the best bills I have heard. That should be law. As well as constitutional carry.

Frankly, I would like something along these same lines for all businesses as well. Something like if you are going to post no guns allowed then you are responsible and liable for the safety of those within the building in the event of a gun related crime.

This came up in last years legislation but I dont think it passed.
