Yep, it's always a great idea to double or triple top executive salaries when you're in bankruptcy. Of course it's also a good idea for employees to stick a finger in the company's eyes too. All-around retards.
Last act of defiance?...LOL

Twinkies eventually get hard enough to be bboolits.
First chocolate, the bacon, now twinkies.
All this with only four weeks left before the end of the world! Well payed Mayans, well played.
Union Organizations seem to have quite a bit of money, anyone heard of any of them purchasing a closing company and letting their loyal Union employees run it? They always think they can do a better job than their current management. I wonder why they do not try. I would suspect Hostess, Wonder Bread, and the Twinkie line would be pretty cheap to purchase right now. They could have it up and running Tuesday morning.
Not quite understanding this comment, I was making a serious statement. In most cases when a company gets into finical trouble the unions are quick to point out management mistakes. I would think bargains could be had buying out these companies, and who would know them better than the union employees that had worked for them for years.Troll post...
I hope Bimbo buys them, so I can utter the phrase, "I'm going out to get a Twinkie from the Bimbo store."

If all the ground work of starting a company had been done, equipment in place, and product recognition established, it seems all that is needed is new management which could be established by the new Union Company owner that purchased with pennies on the dollar. Using their better ideas for management they could keep their workers employed and share the profits. What is the problem with this idea?
The union leaders are making millions off their workers, why the heck would they want to work for a living?
