I would count it as a loss if i were you. Even if you could (legally) regain access to that glock, who knows what it has been used for in the mean time. perhaps crimes that have not been discovered.

Are you an NRA member? i think they cover gun theft up to a certain amount.
The NRA insurance is only for a limited time after the theft.
They are very strict about what must be produced to get a claim. If your one day late, you're screwed. Trust me. Been there, done that. It was my fault being late. Don't want the NRA haters to get triggered.

The NRA isn't the underwriter of the insurance. It's an outside company that has partnered with the NRA.

Insurance has nothing to do with the post of Mr Furious getting triggered by the mention of the NRA. Was a joke dude

I'd try to get the slide, barrel and trigger back. I think your local FFL can order a new frame for $100. Probably a big market for those now that so many people screw theirs up trying to stipple them with a soldering iron. It would be worth it to get the same item in another caliber and have a quick change kit out of the deal too. Either way those parts have value and I wouldn't leave a penny I didn't have to in government hands.

I received a certified letter from the FBI a couple of years ago. It was to tell me they'd recovered an HK USP 45 that'd been tracked back to me. I sold it at a gun show so I had no honest claim to the item but you can be certain that receiving a certified letter from the FBI had my complete attention for a min. Yikes!!

Sorry for the delay ( I had finals this week and it's been crazy). I talked to Glock and they said what some others have already mentioned. Have OKC PD destroy the frame and write a letter saying when it was destroyed. Send the slide and barrel to Glock and they will sell me a new frame for $100 + tax.

I'm not sure why I would actually do all of that though. Get as many parts back from OKC PD as I can (have them destroy the frame) and buy a new frame.

Thanks for the info.
