My wife and I each have a lock box near where we sleep. My EDC rig also rests on the nightstand when I go to bed. If I am not in the bed, it is on my hip all day every day. I cannot take the risk of one of my kids or their friends or cousins getting ahold of one, but I always keep one on my person unless I am entering somewhere it is prohibited by law.
