What a whoopin' last night, eh Yankees fans?

My wife is a diehard Yankees fan. Family is from New York, she was born in NY, but she still recognizes the skill the Rangers have brought to the table this year.

They're not winning because Yankees are playing a sloppy, they're winning because they're simply playing a better game. If her of all people can respect that, then anybody should.

I don't really care about what you guys are talking about, I couldn't care less about baseball, but I hope Texas beats NY, I hate NY more than I hate baseball and since Texas has a chance to give it to them makes it even better. :)

Since I'm now a part time Okie Ive been to more than a few Rangers games because theyre close and I like to go to pro sports games. Its either Dallas,Kansas City,St Louis, and now OKC,and sometimes Houston,New Orleans,Denver,Chicago,Minneappolis for any fairly close pro sports teams we can go see and either drive or fly back and forth to/from in a day. (Sorry, not a NFL Cowboys football fan though Ive been to their games and their new stadium is the shiz...). On the other hand,my oldest sister is a NYC resident since 71' and married to a NYC native so Ive been there many times to visit and have supported the Yankees in the past. All that shiz about money and who can buy the best players is sour grapes. Waaa. Any team has the same capability if they can get up the funds. Apparently, and ironically, the Rangers got their 'ha ha' moment when they snagged the pitcher (Cliff Lee) that NY wanted so bad after last years series with the Phillys. Regardless of NYs money its now biting them in the azz (they almost had him but the deal broke). Will remain to be seen though if TX can keep him without NY luring him away at the end of this season with a dump truck full o cash. Anyways. Hes in TX right now so it doesnt matter and that 8-0 game stung the Yanks pretty bad, making him even more desireable. A win even more sweet than that perfect game he beat them with last year when he was a Philly. The next game is in NY tonight,I'm not a gambler but I would bet NY will probably be pulling out all stops to win, then if NY does win,the last 2 will be in Texas. And it looks like thats when Texas will geterdone. I'm cool with it too. If NY was playing any one else I would be rooting for them. But I have to go with Texas in this series,so,GO Rangers!!!

Now,being a native Californian who still lives there part time and am a former resident of San Francisco, I want the Giants to take the NL. Theyre off to a good start so far up 2-1 and with the next 2 games back in PacBell park. If they win though, then I will no doubt be forced to root for SF against TX though. Still,I will still kind of be rooting for TX a little bit and no matter who wins I will be cool with it.
