Well Aviation has Let Me Down and my employer Shut the Hangar Doors for good yesterday. Final Pay and C'ya! So.................A&P here with 23yrs exp. in Corporate Aircraft, Looking. I've allready got "feelers" out everywhere, but just thought maybe and OSA'er might know of something I don't. Any insights appreciated! Happy Turkey Day to ALL!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your job. I'm a corporate pilot here in tulsa and have been through the layoff deal in the past. I will keep my ears open and talk to our mechanics to see if they know of anything in the area. PM me if you like and I'll let you know what I find out.

Tinker just continues to hire more and more, especially good experienced folks. I see you are in Tulsa so I dont know if relocation is an option for you. I know some other folks in the OKC area as well that might be looking.

Spirit Aerosystems should be hiring early next year; even with some of the testing woes of the 787, Boeing is wanting to ramp up the production by a bunch in the very near future.

Spirit will be hiring a bunch. G650 is rampin up. Triple 7 and 787 is pickin up too. BizJet over on Sheridan is supposed to be hiring. You may check out omni air. They are on Sheridan as well.

My sister-in-law works for Spirit Aerosystems and said things don't look too rosy. Every Friday they tell them if they will need them to come to work on Monday. I asked her about future military work and she said they don't do military work only commercial. A month or so ago she was working 6-7 days a week with overtime now just a straight shift. But that's aerospace work, feast today and famine tomorrow.
