Welcome!

I feel there is no better battle rifle than the M1A. I have a soft spot for the Garand action. My Scout will be burried with me someday. I've gone back and forth with wanting to mount an optic, but I can bang 10" steel at 300 yards off my range bag and custom 175 grain loads.

I kinda did that look on one of my ARs though...would wood furniture from an AR15 work on an AR10?

Thanks all for the welcome and the participation.

Your AR is quite graceful with its wood accents, but my objection has never been the look, so much as the execution of the platform itself. I cannot used to the center charger position, the bolt release on the opposite side of the ejection port, the horizontal line between shoulder and muzzle; just to name a few that do not suit me personally.

I’ve yet to decide if I’ll add an optic. I do not intend it to be an exclusively long range rifle. An E2 stock is my most coveted desire.
