I'd like to see a qualitative source for that number that you just gave.

1/3, really?

Use your own Google search function. You'll find it searching voter demographics.
Roughly only 1/4 of each registered party voters are straight party ballot voters. The rest can swing either way. The number climbs when you add in Registered Independent s or registered non affiliated voters.

Either way it's easily findable.

WTF are you talking about. Your idol does an executive order and the house does not fund it. Checks and balances just like the founding fathers designed it.

Post 141....your post btw. "Not funding a BILL does not shut the Govt down". We were talking about bills not executive orders.....there is a difference.

So why would Congress send a bill for Obama to sign into law then not fund that bill?

Not funding laws is how the Govt shuts down.

Maybe because everyone else already knows I am not a staunch conservative Republican since I have said that many times. The only reason I vote GOP is because the Tea Party has not split off yet. Shows how little you pay attention.

On another note, the party of "old white guys" elected an 18 year old young lady to the state house in WV last night to go along with the other women and minorities. The libs reacted as expected.

Don't for get about Mia Love. The video is pretty good and she appears to be well spoken and I think will do well.

The 18 year old beat out a 44 year old attorney. What's that tell you about voter sentiment?

The Dems passed ostupid care. The house voted to defund it. The Senate/Ried tabled the bill.

You really don't understand how government works do you, or you choose to continue to troll this thread.

Dennis....you posted it. #141. That's you right? We wasn't talking about obamacare or executive orders. We were talking about Congress ...today's GOP congress...and we were talking about govt shutdowns....by today's GOP Congress.

There is something to be said from living thru the Reagan/Bush Era and then seeing the Clinton era and the aftermath of lil George and Obama. Some have lived it, watched history as it happened and other read it from a book and claim to know.

Lil George Bush and his Congress were/are just as bad as Obama and hid Congress. Both are horribly bad.

Times under Carter/Reagan/Bush were sucky. No housing, recession, no jobs, very low wages, no education, inflation, huge Natl debt......all this all ended under Clinton/Newt. And it all came crashing down under Bush/Pelosi and Obama/Boehner.

No it wasn't a fairytale....

Lots of people "live through" administrations with little to no clue as to what and how economics work. Hence Obama got elected twice and some people were misinformed enough to vote for him... twice. Everything I said is easily referenced. Your only defense is well.... the other guy is just as bad.... and that's to be expected from what I've seen. Fact remains, the Dems have a history of little to no clue when it comes to economics.
