Part of why I rarely went to the movies -- I mean besides I always had something else to do. The movies ALWAYS messed up the book. 🤔😖

Only 1 movie was good that had a cameo of steven king in it, that was "Creepshow." Movies that were books written by steven king that were good were "Christine" and "The Dark Half." Please note there was no steven king cameo in those. His cameo's are the kiss of death to movies based on his books.

It's your choice to buy or not buy. My argument sk is no Hemmingway.
I very much agree with that, but there are few 'Hemingways' anymore. BTW, I have read many of the classics penned by Melville, Dickens, Verne, London, Shelley, and a host of others so I am aware that modern day authors are not in the same class which makes me ponder whether great authors of the past were considered great during their time, or became so only after much time has passed.

I think it is much like canvas art. I think popular doesn't translate into post humous greatness in most cases. Good example, the western dime novels of the past, they sold well, but how many of those are taught in schools or even recognized today. Authors like Jules Vern really didn't come into their own until their prophetic writings became a reality, or they wrote an entire new genre of novels.

Tom Cruise wanted , then Wife, Nicole Kidman to do a Porno documentary of their true life and claim it as mainstream.

I knew King was nuts, years ago. Maximun Overdrive was good.
ANY TOOL that will allow power hungry people, especially politicians, and news moguls, to gain power over the unwashed masses, WILL BE USED!! The most powerful tool ever conceived by man, is PROPAGANDA, as history proves over, and over!!

I don't view it as simply a case of "supporting them monetarily". Everyone has their opinion and I respect yours just as you respect mine, but I'm still not going to NOT buy something or NOT do something just because I don't like someones politics or religion. Sorry if I may have offended you but I'm just not going to be 'swayed' simply by what others believe or because I don't believe the same way 😁

When an individual or company comes out, directly against my views, morals, beliefs, life; I absolutely refuse to support them, monetarily or otherwise. I support their right to speak and encourage it. I want to know who to support and who to avoid.

Loss of $$$ is the only thing that gets their attention. Didn't take Bud long to get off the soap box and TRY to apologize. Don't matter, as much as I liked Zeigenbock or the occasional Bud Light, I will never buy another one.

They sold 10 million pet rocks as well! Odds are some here bought them or got one as a gift, where are all those pet rocks now... Popular does not mean greatness. Just because it sells doesn't make it great either, very few want to buy Gremlins, Pintos, Vegas or Astres, all were popular. Greatness was the few, the Thunderbolts, Cobras, 442's, GTO's and Chevelle SS's. I stand by my words, steven king is a hack and will soon be forgotten.
Yes, and I cried when I had to have mine put to sleep.

I've never seen this classic before. 😲😲😲 Now I understand all the memes ... 😂😂😂😂

There is something seriously wrong with Stephen King. Lol
Dude is a really excellent writer. His mind is so sick and twisted that I haven't read one of his books in over 40 years. Do NOT need that crap in my brain. Not now, not ever again.
